Mrs A Hughes

A Bit About Me

Hi! I am Mrs Hughes and I’m the EYFS Teacher at Burnhope Primary School. I love finding new things to explore and learn about in our classroom and outside areas- you’re never too old to be excited by the world around us! I especially love when children ask me questions that I hadn’t thought of before so that we can go and find out together!

Favourite School Activities

I love teaching EYFS because we get to really follow the children’s interests, but I particularly like when this leads us outside into our garden or local area.

I also love to sing (badly!) and dance so you may well find us bopping our way out to meet our adults at home times!

Hobbies

When I’m not at school, I love to spend time with my family exploring different places. We love theme parks, the seaside and shopping trips. Then when we need a rest, a quick stop for tea and cake is my favourite.

Favourite Food

¡Me encanta la comida Mexicana! (I LOVE Mexican food!)
Tapas is my absolute favourite- that way I can have a bit of everything and the spicier the better! Of course, no Mexican feast is complete without chocolate churros to finish!

Favourite TV Programme and Film

I don’t usually get much time to watch TV but when I do, I love to snuggle up with my little boy, Archie, and watch Deadly 60 on BBC. We are fascinated by the amazing animals around the world, and we try to pick out countries we would like to visit one day.
